Te Tahi Youth is advertising for a Youth Employment Navigator. Employment Navigators take a youth-led approach that provides appropriate and coordinated support that will give rangatahi (15–24yrs) the tools needed to develop resilience and a positive sense of wellbeing.
Navigators support rangatahi to develop employability and work readiness, identify potential employers, and support their transition into sustained employment.
Navigators need an understanding of poverty, disability, mental illness, substance abuse, and the impact these can have on a rangatahi. They also need cultural competency and understanding of Kaupapa Māori, Te Tiriti ō Waitangi, and Pasifika protocols.
