Wellington City Council is looking for a Senior Accessibility Coordinator to join the Community Resilience team.
You will be a champion for the council's approach to Universal Design, providing input into significant work streams which impact on the future liveability of the city. It's a real mix of operational and strategic.
You'll work closely with business units across Council to ensure they're considering and prioritising accessibility in their work and to provide advice and support. You'll build, develop and maintain relationships across council but also externally with other organisations, including the Accessibility Advisory Group, NGO's and other specialist organisations within the disability sector to ensure there is a coordinated, sustainable, and effective response to issues that impact on accessibility and inclusion.
