Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People are currently seeking a Group Manager – Policy.
To undertake this role successfully the Group Manager – Policy will be a disabled person, or have credibility and trust with disabled people, as well as empathy and a deep understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.
Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People are looking for a senior leader who has the ability to work in a tripartite relationship with disabled people and tangata whaikaha Māori and has sound knowledge in the following areas: disability policy, knowledge of the machinery of Government, risk management, commissioning services, and managing at the political interface.
The successful candidate will likely have deep experience and skills in leading programmes and working at a strategic level, leading other leaders across a wide span of responsibilities and in acting in an advisory capacity to Ministerial parties and central agencies. The Group Manager – Policy position reports to the Deputy Chief Executive Policy, Strategy and Partner Policy within the Policy, Strategy and Partner Business Group.
