Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People is advertising four positions: Senior Connector in Waikato, Senior Advisor – Quality and Performance in Wellington, and two positions in Manawatu / Wanganui – Connector Support and Budget Advisor.

Senior Connector

  • Waikato

As a Senior Connector you will provide leadership, mentoring and guidance for Connectors and Specialist Connectors to increase their skills to support disabled people and whānau achieve outcomes that are important to them.

Senior Advisor – Quality and Performance

  • Wellington

The Senior Advisor, Quality and Performance will have the opportunity to contribute to improving the quality of Whaikaha funded disability supports.

The role includes providing advice, analysis and recommendations for the design and implementation of strategic and operational improvements to the quality of the disability support system. They also support improvements for individual disabled people through the delivery of quality mechanisms for Whaikaha.

Connector Support

  • Manawatu / Wanganui

The Connector Support works closely with Connectors to ensure timely and appropriate triaging. They work directly with disabled people to support straight-forward changes to service agreements and prioritising enquiries through the client record management system. The role also includes undertaking the management and administration of the client record management database.

Budget Advisor

  • Manawatu / Wanganui

The majority of this role involves working to ensure people have timely access to flexible, personalised disability support funding (EGL Personal Budget), as well as advice on spending that aligns to the principles of EGL and the EGL Purchasing Guidelines. You’ll also work closely with the Regional Leadership Group, Flexible Disability Funding Hosts and the NASC in order to make an integral contribution to the expansion of Enabling Good Lives.
