Parliament’s Environment Committee has opened its Inquiry into Climate Adaptation. The inquiry is considering options for community-led retreat – how communities could be enabled to relocate from areas at high risk from climate change.

The eight councils in the Wellington region (Masterton, Carterton, South Wairarapa, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Porirua, and Kāpiti Coast) are consulting on the Less Waste, Greater Place – Waste Management and Minimisation Draft Plan.

Auckland Council is currently calling for submissions on the following topics on Storm Recovery and Resilience and the Civil Defence Management Group Plan.

ACC have reached out to us and asked us to share this request for research participants with the disabled community. They are particularly interested in hearing from disabled people, tāngata whakaha Māori, and whānau.
