DPA is preparing a submission for the Auckland Council's consultation on its Future Development Strategy and we would like to hear from Auckland members so that your ideas can be included.
The strategy is about how Auckland will and can grow into the future, particularly in terms of where residential housing and community infrastructure, i.e., shops, businesses, footpaths, will be placed.
We believe it’s important for disabled people to be included in this conversation, especially given the lack of accessible housing.
This is our (and other Aucklanders) opportunity to be heard on how our communities should grow and where.
This consultation closes on Tuesday, 4 July.
There is information on the Auckland Council website about the Auckland Future Development Strategy.
However, we would like to hear Auckland members ideas by Wednesday, 28 June so that we have time to incorporate the ideas and finalise our submission by the closing date.
We look forward to hearing from you – email our Reginal Policy Advisor Chris Ford, chris.ford@dpa.org.nz
