My Life My Voice is offering Peer Supporter Training for free for disabled people, tāngata whaikaha Māori or people with an impairment who want to learn how to support other disabled people.
When: 6 sessions
Where: online – Zoom
Cost: free
This training will provide disabled people with the knowledge and skills to become a Peer Supporter. The role is voluntary and assists others to reach their goals, share experiences and give good information and support.
The next training is in six sessions. It is recommended you complete all of the modules in the same month but if you cannot make every May date, the remaining modules can be completed in the June training dates. Dates for June will be published approximately four weeks in advance.

- Monday 8 May – Communication and peer support
- Wednesday 10 May – Disability in Aotearoa and models of wellness
- Monday 15 May – Guidance for Peer Supporters
- Wednesday 17 May – Wrap up and goodbye
